Specialist Blasting

We dont just blast metal we also have experience of blasting wood, stone, plastic, glass, concrete, fibreglass etc. for asthetic reasons or for specific surface effects.

Blasting wood can give a 'drift-wood' appearence, 'age' new timber or reduce staining on wooden beams. With careful blasting it is possible to remove wax or flaking varnish from hard woods like oak, or bark from burr-elm.

Blasting glass and some plastics with the right media gives a pleasing opaque, etched surface.
